On the occasion of the Oldenburg Line's tricentary celebrations in 1749, the Asiatic Company had 2 medals minted. Both have the portrait of the King on the obverse. One reverse depicts the monogram of the Company with symbols representing its activities, the other bears a congratulatory inscription. Both of these medals were originally intended as coins. Totally, of the both medals, are minted 200 pieces1
